Trenton allows only state-permitted novelty fireworks under N.J.S.A. 21:3-2 and bans discharge on streets, sidewalks, parks or any public property. Consumer fireworks on private property must stay 10 feet from people, structures, vehicles and neighboring land, and are limited to recognized holidays with a hard curfew.
