Tattoo & Body Modification

Anyone performing tattooing, permanent cosmetics, body piercing, or piercing of the trailing edge of the ear in Atlantic County must first obtain an annual license from the County Division of Public Health under Chapter 121. Licenses cost $200 a year, renew 30 days before expiration, and cover fixed and temporary body-art establishments alike.

Towing Companies

A towing company cannot handle Atlantic County's illegally parked, police-impounded, accident, or abandoned-vehicle tows without first becoming an Atlantic County Sheriff-approved operator. Chapter 126 requires a Division of Purchasing application, a Sheriff's compliance investigation, $1,000,000 liability insurance, a fenced compound, and a $300 two-year application and renewal fee.
