Pool Permits
Unincorporated Bartholomew County requires a building permit before installing an in-ground or above-ground residential swimming pool, and section 150.20(F) sets a $150 minimum permit fee that covers the required pool fence and two inspections. The county has adopted the Indiana Swimming Pool Code, Article 20 of 675 IAC, by reference under section 150.06. Commercial, industrial or multi-family pools carry the same $150 minimum fee under section 150.21(F).
