Catawba County prohibits open burning of solid waste or garbage entirely under County Code Section 32-6(h). No person may set fire to trash, refuse, or debris outdoors within the county, and the only lawful disposal routes are licensed collection, the landfill, or a permitted incinerator with full air-pollution controls.
