Security Camera Rules
DeKalb County does not regulate home security cameras, but it forces convenience stores and police-designated "monitored businesses" to run a 24/7 video surveillance system meeting detailed camera-count and resolution standards. Footage must be kept 30 days and handed to police within 72 hours of a request or warrant.
