Whenever a complaint is made to the chairman of the DuPage County Board that a public nuisance exists, or has existed, as enumerated in section 26-3 of this chapter, within DuPage County, he shall promptly notify the sheriff or some other County Official whom the chairman shall designate, who shall forthwith make such inspections as permitted by law.
