In unincorporated Floyd County, anyone building a residential swimming pool must first obtain a $25 approval permit from the Health Department. Floyd County Code § 51.17(E) lists the pool approval permit in the same Environmental Health Services fee schedule that covers garages, outbuildings, geothermal heat systems and sprinkler systems, all priced at $25 apiece.
