Transient Occupancy Tax
Franklin County, Kentucky levies a transient room tax of 6% of the rent charged for every occupancy at hotels, motels, inns, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds, RV parks and similar lodging, including anyone who brokers the rental. The Fiscal Court splits the 6% into 3%, 2% and 1% pieces, each with a named purpose.
