Sidewalk Repair
Property owners and occupants in unincorporated Grant County must keep the sidewalks, trails, and footpaths along their county-road frontage clear and usable under Grant County Code Chapter 10.50, adopted March 25, 2025. The duty runs to the person occupying the property, or to the legal owner if the property is vacant.

It shall be the duty of persons occupying property or the legal property owner, if the property is vacant, to provide walkway surface maintenance for sidewalks, trails, and footpaths along the county road frontage adjacent to their property. Walkway surface maintenance includes keeping the sidewalks, trails, or paths free of snow, ice, winter sand, obstructions, and other objectionable things.
