Density Bonus Law
Greenwood County's planned development district (PDD) lets the county council approve a density bonus of up to 25 percent more dwelling units than the base 1,800-square-foot multifamily lot standard allows, scaled to how much of the site becomes common open space. Developers dedicating 70 percent or more of the residential area to open space qualify for the full bonus.
