Protected Tree Species
Unincorporated Hall County protects trees rated a "significant tree" under UDC Sec. 8.3.2: hardwoods and softwoods 18 inches DBH or larger, and dogwoods, redbuds, or sourwoods 8 inches DBH or larger, automatically qualify, and any rare or unusual species can qualify at a smaller size if in fair or better health.
