In Henrico's residential districts, one travel, utility, or boat trailer may be parked as an accessory use only in a rear yard, side yard, carport, or garage. It cannot sit in the front yard or be lived in.
Henrico County Code Sec. 24-102(2)
In any district used for residential purposes, one travel, utility, and/or boat trailer, as an accessory use, may be parked or stored in the rear yard, side yard, carport, or garage on the same lot with the principal use, provided it shall not be occupied for living or business purposes.
You may not park on someone else's private lot without the owner's consent, and once a lot is posted no-parking, entering it to park is unlawful. On your own lot, trailers and RVs must sit in the rear or side yard, not the front.
Henrico County Code Sec. 22-157
No person may stand or park a vehicle on any private lot or lot area without the express or implied consent of the owner thereof... it is unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle across any curb or lot line or over any driveway from a highway, street or alley into such lot for the purpose of parking.
Henrico bars parking any truck or commercial vehicle over 10,000 pounds gross weight, or any commercial trailer or wrecker, on any street or alley in agricultural or residential zoning districts except while actively loading or unloading.

It shall be unlawful to park, except while loading & unloading any truck or commercial vehicle exceeding 10,000 pounds gross weight, or any commercial trailer or wrecker, upon any highway, street, or alley in any agricultural or residential zoning district.
Henrico prohibits parking an unlicensed vehicle on any public street, roadway, or alley, and bars parking in signed no-parking zones. Vehicles must display a current state license to sit legally on a county street.

It is unlawful to park any vehicle not having a current state license, and a current county license as required by the provisions of article VI of this chapter, on any highway, roadway or public alley in the county.
Henrico has no blanket countywide ban on overnight parking of a licensed, operable car on a public street. However, a vehicle left unattended on public property for more than 48 hours can be tagged and towed as abandoned.
Henrico County has no separate residential ordinance dictating home EV charger installation or curbside EV parking; installations follow the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and require an electrical permit. Public and workplace charging is governed by state building and electrical code.
A motor vehicle left unattended on public property in violation of law for more than 48 hours, or on private property without the owner's consent for more than 48 hours, is legally abandoned and can be tagged and towed. Abandoning a vehicle carries up to a $500 civil penalty.
Henrico County Code Sec. 22-252
Abandoned motor vehicle means a motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer that weighs at least 75 pounds, and: (i) Is left unattended on public property in violation of a state law or local ordinance, for more than 48 hours; (ii) Has remained for more than 48 hours on private property without the owner's consent.
Residents may not paint curbs or install their own no-parking markings. Only the county manager or an authorized representative may designate limited or prohibited parking areas, and those regulations take effect only when official signs or markings are posted.
In a designated curb loading zone, no one may stop, stand, or park except for the expeditious loading or unloading of materials during posted hours. Delivery vehicles other than regular trucks must display the owner's name in three-inch letters.
Henrico County Code Sec. 22-158
No person may stop, stand or park a vehicle for any purpose or length of time, other than for the expeditious unloading and delivery or pickup and loading of materials, in any place marked as a curb loading zone during hours when the provisions applicable to such zones are in effect.
Henrico bans parking oversized commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds gross weight, and any commercial trailer or wrecker, on residential or agricultural streets except while loading or unloading. Gross weight is the vehicle plus its rated load per DMV records.
Henrico County Code Sec. 24-96
"Gross weight" shall be the aggregate weight of a vehicle and the load it is designed to carry, as recorded by the state division of motor vehicles. Parking of any commercial enclosed or flatbed trailer or any wrecker in a residential district regardless of their empty weight, is permitted only while loading or unloading.
