Henrico treats electric power-assisted bicycles like ordinary bicycles on sidewalks and shared-use paths, with one carve-out: Class 3 e-bikes, which keep assisting up to 28 mph, may not be operated on county-maintained shared-use paths designated against them. Riding is barred wherever the county posts a no-bicycles sign under § 22-350.
