Growing cannabis at home is a felony in Indian River County. Florida allows medical marijuana only through state-licensed dispensaries and permits no home grow, even for registered patients. Cultivating cannabis is manufacturing a controlled substance under Fla. Stat. Β§893.13, a felony offense.

Except as authorized by this chapter and chapter 499, a person may not sell, manufacture, or deliver, or possess with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver, a controlled substance.
