Suspected zoning violations, unpermitted construction, or land-use complaints in unincorporated Johnson County go to the Zoning Administrator in the Planning, Development and Sustainability Department. Under UDO Section 8:8.2(C), the Administrator investigates complaints, issues notices and stop-work orders, and can file a County infraction citation before referring an unresolved case to the County Attorney.
