It shall be unlawful to proceed with the construction, installation, enlargement or alteration of any private residential swimming pool and accessories thereto within the unincorporated area of Kenosha County unless permits therefore shall have first been obtained from the Department of Planning and Development.
Fencing & Safety Requirements
In unincorporated Kenosha County, no swimming pool may be filled with water until a code-compliant safety barrier is in place. In-ground pools need a four-foot fence around the pool or yard; above-ground pools need the same fence or a six-foot wall-and-deck combination, and every gate must self-close and self-latch.
