Consumer fireworks may be discharged in unincorporated Kitsap County only on July 4th, between 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Retail sales run June 28 through July 4, and anyone importing, storing, selling, or publicly displaying fireworks needs a fire marshal permit.

Discharge of consumer fireworks in the unincorporated portion of Kitsap County is restricted to July 4th between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Exception: Discharge by public display may be conducted if permitted and authorized pursuant to Section 10.48.014.

Kitsap County requires owners of existing multi-family Group R, Division 1 buildings, hotels, motels, apartments, condos and congregate residences of three or more units, to install photoelectric smoke detectors in every sleeping area and certify compliance to the fire marshal. The rule applies only in unincorporated Kitsap County.
