Unincorporated Kitsap County regulates the company town of Port Gamble, added to the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Historic Landmark in 1967, as a Rural Historic Town under KCC Chapter 17.360C. Development must follow adopted Town Development Objectives protecting the mill-era historic character, subject to director and design-committee review.
