Pool Permits
Unincorporated Laurens County has adopted the Standard Swimming Pool Code in toto under Sec. 8-19(a)(11), alongside the International Building Code, making a permit through the county building official a prerequisite for constructing a residential pool. The rules apply only outside the county's municipalities, and a violation is punishable by up to $200.00 and 30 days under Sec. 8-21(d).
