Historic-Cultural Monuments
Lee County prohibits relocating, removing, altering, renaming or rededicating any war memorial, statue or plaque on county-owned property once it honors a recognized U.S. Armed Forces conflict. Only the County Commission can grant a waiver, and willful destruction is a criminal offense under the John S. Ebling Ordinance.
