Solicitor Permits
Maui County requires anyone who peddles, hawks or sells door-to-door, from a stand, cart, vehicle or on foot, to hold a vendor's license from the director of finance before starting business. The application discloses the applicant's route, vehicle, goods and any sign, and vending is barred within 500 feet of a school during school hours.
