Onslow County requires a permit before anyone voluntarily flies or lands a drone, airplane, balloon, parachute, or rocket in or into a county park, with an exception only for a forced landing.

Sec. 12-34. - Aviation. No person shall voluntarily bring, land or cause to descend or alight within or upon any park any airplane, flying machine, balloon, parachute, drone, rocket, or other apparatus for aviation except under permit. "Voluntarily" as used in this section shall mean anything other than a forced landing.
