Juvenile Curfew

In unincorporated Orange County, no minor under 18 may remain in a public place or on the premises of a business between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. under section 3-6-2. Parents and guardians who knowingly let a minor break curfew are equally liable, though the section lists eight defenses, from being with a parent to exercising First Amendment rights.

Park Curfew

Orange County parks, beaches and recreational areas close outside hours set by the OC Parks Director. Entering or staying past closing without a valid County permit violates County Code Section 2-5-15 and can draw a citation.

All recreational areas shall be open to the public during such hours as may be established by the Director or his/her designee. No person, except those having valid County permits, shall enter or remain in any recreational area at any time other than during such hours as the recreational area is open to the public.
