Bike Lane Rules

In unincorporated Orange County, parking or leaving a vehicle standing in a signed on-road bicycle lane along the county arterial highway system violates Codified Ordinances Section 6-4-603(h). The ban only applies where the county has posted signs identifying the lane and prohibiting parking there. Riders themselves are separately regulated under Section 6-4-500, which sets speed, helmet and passenger rules for bicycles and electric bicycles.
