Tree Removal & Heritage Trees
Inside Pitt County's Southwest Bypass Highway Corridor Overlay District, the mandatory buffer yard must stay in a natural, undisturbed state. The zoning ordinance allows only ingress, egress and utility service through that buffer, and selective clearing is limited to diseased, storm-damaged, or age-weakened trees, not general land clearing.
