Shed & Carport Rules
Porter County caps how many sheds and other accessory structures a residential lot may hold, and how big they can be, under UDO Section 5.06 (AS-03). Lots under 10,000 square feet get one structure, larger lots get two or three, and combined floor area cannot exceed 1,300 square feet or 2 percent of the lot, whichever is bigger.
