Barking Dogs
In unincorporated Rutherford County, a dog whose frequent howling, yelping or barking disturbs the neighborhood is legally a 'nuisance' under Appendix C, Article VII, and it is unlawful for the owner or custodian to permit or maintain that nuisance once an animal control officer issues written notice with 48 hours to correct it.
