Obstruction Rules

Sacramento County bans basketball hoops, signs, hedges, fences, structures and other obstructions on sidewalks, pedestrian pathways and street rights-of-way in the unincorporated area. Curbside trash and recycling cans can't sit out more than 72 hours a week, and overhanging tree foliage must clear 7 feet above walkways and 14.5 feet above roadways.
