Frequency, Duration & Permits

Residents in unincorporated Santa Cruz County can hold garage or yard sales at their home up to four weekends a year without any County permit under SCCC § 13.10.616(D)(4). The sale has to be on a parcel with a legal residential use already on it; going beyond four weekends a year requires a temporary use permit under the county's general temporary-use standards.
