Seminole County requires franchised haulers to collect residential waste at least once per week, only between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All materials must be curbside by 6 a.m. on your collection day.

Sec. 235.78(a)(1)
Collect Waste with as little disturbance as reasonably possible and shall leave Garbage Receptacles and Commercial Containers at the same point they were Collected without obstructing roadways, driveways, sidewalks, or mailboxes.
Seminole County collects large items like furniture and appliances by request via a Bulk Item Pickup form. Yard waste must be bagged, canned, or bundled under 4 feet and 50 pounds, with up to 15 bags per collection.
Sec. 235.74(c)
All Residential Collection Service Solid Waste, Yard Trash-Regular and Recyclable Material shall be properly containerized in Garbage Receptacles or tied in bundles not exceeding four feet in length. No filled Garbage Receptacle or bundle shall exceed 50 pounds in weight.
Seminole County provides recycling bins and requires recyclablesβnewspaper, cans, glass, and plastic bottlesβto be source-separated and placed loose in the bin, never bagged or co-mingled with garbage or yard trash. Cardboard must be flattened to fit the bin.

Recyclable Materials shall be placed in a suitable recycling bin at the usual accessible pick-up location on scheduled days. No Person shall co-mingle Recyclable Materials with Yard Trash-Regular or other Solid Waste.
Dumping litter in Seminole County is illegal under Florida's litter law (FS 403.413). Small dumping is a civil fine; over 15 pounds is a first-degree misdemeanor and over 500 pounds a third-degree felony. Burning or burying waste off-site is also unlawful.
