Somerset County Park Commission Regulations require every dog inside a county park to be restrained by a leash and kept under control at all times. The only exception is a supervised dog inside a Commission-designated area where dogs are permitted to roam free. The rule covers every park, golf course, reservation and preserve the Commission administers, and Park Rangers enforce it on site.

Somerset County Park Commission Regulations, Section 4(a)(1)

1. Dogs: No person shall cause or permit a dog owned by him, in his custody or under his control to be in any part of a Park where the Commission has prohibited dogs. With the exception of supervised dogs within the confines of a Commission designated area where dogs are permitted to roam, all dogs within a Park must be restrained by a leash and kept under control at all times.

Feeding any wild animal in a Somerset County park is banned outright under Section 4(b)(1), grouped with hunting, harming, trapping and killing wildlife into a single prohibited-conduct clause.
