Rodent Control
In unincorporated Story County, any building or place that breeds, harbors, feeds or shelters vermin or pests, including mice, rats, flies or cockroaches, is a declared public health nuisance under County Code Section 55.07. The Story County Environmental Health Department enforces the rule and can order occupants to vacate an infested property until it is cleaned up.
