Public Alcohol Use
Tippecanoe County makes it illegal to drink alcohol or keep an opened container within reach of anyone riding in a vehicle on any road or right-of-way in the unincorporated county. County Code § 70.04 fines a first violation $50, and every later offense runs $100 to $2,500. The County Sheriff's Department writes the citation and prosecutes it in county court.
