Block Party Permits

A block party or other special event that closes a street or uses public right-of-way in unincorporated York County needs a signed York County Venue Agreement before the county will approve the zoning compliance application. County Code Section 155.753 requires the agreement for any special event on public property or in a public right-of-way.

§ 155.753 EVENTS ON PUBLIC PROPERTY. A York County Venue Agreement shall be executed prior to approval of a zoning compliance application for a special event located on public property and/or in a public right-of-way. This section does not apply to county-sponsored events held on county-owned property.

Park Event Permits

Reserving a shelter for a gathering at a York County park runs through the fee schedule in County Code Section 90.02, not a separate event permit. At Ebenezer Park, a Multipurpose Shelter costs $125 for an all-day weekday reservation or $150 on a weekend or holiday, plus a $3 reservation fee.

Parade Permits
