Marana Town Code Chapter 11-3 establishes a juvenile curfew for minors under 16 years old. Minors may not be in a public place between 10 PM and 5 AM Sunday through Thursday or between midnight and 5 AM on Friday and Saturday nights without a parent or guardian.
Under Marana Town Code Chapter 11-3, minors under 16 years of age are prohibited from being in any public place, street, park, or establishment during curfew hours without a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult. Curfew hours are 10 PM to 5 AM Sunday through Thursday nights and midnight to 5 AM on Friday and Saturday nights. Exceptions include minors traveling to or from employment with proof of work schedule, minors engaged in lawful First Amendment activities such as attending a religious service, minors on an errand at the direction of a parent or guardian, and minors involved in an emergency. Parents or guardians who knowingly allow or negligently permit a minor to violate curfew may also be cited. Marana Police enforce the curfew and may transport minors home or to a designated location for parental pickup.
First offense: written warning to parents. Subsequent offenses: civil citation with fine. Parents may also be cited for knowingly permitting curfew violations.
