Sacramento County Code sets a nighttime curfew for minors under 18. Minors may not be in public places, on public streets, or in businesses open to the public between 10 PM and 5 AM Sunday through Thursday, or between midnight and 5 AM Friday and Saturday. Exceptions include minors accompanied by a parent or guardian, traveling to or from work, school, or religious activity, responding to an emergency, or exercising First Amendment rights. Parents who knowingly permit violations can also be cited.
