Curfew hours for minors under 18 are 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and midnight to 6:00 AM Friday and Saturday nights. Minors under 16 have an earlier curfew of 10:00 PM on all nights. Exemptions include minors accompanied by a parent or guardian, traveling to or from employment, attending a school or religious event, or responding to an emergency. Parents who knowingly allow their children to violate curfew may also be cited. Law enforcement may detain curfew violators and contact parents.
First offense typically results in a warning and parental notification. Subsequent violations may result in municipal court citations for the minor and/or parent, with fines. Chronic violations may trigger referral to juvenile services. Parents who knowingly permit violations face separate citations.
