Cicero, IL Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 82-383, part of Chapter 82's Public Parks article adopted by Ordinance No. ' The curfew has two built-in exceptions: it does not apply to individuals attending an event the Town itself hosts or sponsors, and it does not apply to on-duty Town personnel or police officers and patrolmen acting within the scope of their lawful duties. Public Park is defined broadly in Section 82-381 as 'any land or buildings set apart for public recreation and owned by the Town,' so the curfew reaches every Town park, not just a named list.

Enforcement sits with the Cicero Police Department and Community Service Officers under Section 82-397(a). 00 for each violation, plus possible restitution if the violation caused property damage, and the Town may separately ban a repeat violator from all Public Parks. Each day a violation continues counts as a separate offense, and a parent or guardian living with a minor violator is jointly and severally liable for any fine, restitution or reparation the court or hearing officer orders.
