Dade City, FL Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Sec. 66-33 of the Dade City Code of Ordinances sets the standard operating schedule for every municipal park inside Dade City, Pasco County, Florida. , except for unusual and unforeseen emergencies or activities that run past the posted close. Each individual park posts its own opening and closing hours on-site, so a specific park can carry different hours than the citywide norm the code describes as standard. The Hardy Trail is treated separately: it stays open only from dawn to dusk, a narrower window than the 8:30-to-10 schedule that applies to the rest of the park system.

Subsection (b) gives the public works director broad closure authority: any section or all of any park can be declared closed to the public at any time for necessary maintenance, health and safety concerns, civil disorder or severe weather conditions, independent of the posted hours. The surrounding article also regulates conduct inside parks during open hours. Sec. 66-34(d) bars smoking and vaping, including in park parking areas, and makes a violation a Class IV offense under the Sixth Judicial Circuit's Uniform Fine and Citation Schedule, with fines doubling for a second or later offense.

Sec. 66-38(a) separately requires a city permit before anyone sets up a stand, cart or vehicle to sell or display merchandise inside a park, and Sec. 66-39 requires advance reservations, filed with the public works director 30 to 90 days ahead, for exclusive use of a park or facility.
