Summary

Edison Township parks are open sunrise to sunset only; being present after closing is unlawful unless you're Township staff on official business.

The park or recreational area shall be opened daily to the public during the hours of sunrise to sunset, except for those facilities and/or activities which require artificial lighting after sunset. Notwithstanding the hours of operation aforesaid, the playing of basketball shall be prohibited in any park or outdoor recreation facility prior to 9:00 a.m. on weekends and 8:00 a.m. on weekdays. It is unlawful for any person or persons, other than Township personnel conducting Township business therein, to occupy or to be present in said park or recreation area during any hours in which the park is not open to the public.

b. Any section or part of the park or recreational area may be declared closed to the public by the Parks and Recreation Director or Public Works Director at any time and for any interval of time, either temporarily or at regular or stated intervals.
