Florissant, MO Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 245.030, 'Park And Facility Hours,' sets four separate closing times across Florissant's park system. Most outdoor parks run dawn until 8:00 p.m., or a half hour after the last scheduled ball game finishes on a lit field, whichever is later. Tower Court Park keeps longer hours, staying open until 10:00 p.m. Indoor facilities run later still: the James J. Eagan Civic Center, the JFK Community Center and Sunset Nature Lodge close by 9:00 p.m., except that a previously approved scheduled event may keep the building open no later than midnight.

Subsection D is the actual curfew: persons are prohibited on park grounds at night after 8:00 p.m. continuing until one hour before sunrise, and that prohibition holds regardless of which specific park hours apply, unless the Director of Parks and Recreation has given prior written approval for the presence. Enforcement runs through Section 245.070, which authorizes the City's park rangers, in addition to the regular Police force, to issue summonses for violations of Chapter 245 or of the Director's posted rules and regulations; those summonses return to the Municipal Division of the St.

Louis County Circuit Court, Florissant Division. Chapter 245 does not set its own fine schedule for a curfew violation, so it falls to the general penalty at Section 100.080: a fine of up to $1,000, up to three months in the City or County Jail, or both, with continuing violations counted day by day. The chapter's rules apply to all City recreational areas and facilities under Section 245.010, so the after-hours prohibition covers every City park, not only the flagship ones named in Section 245.030.
