Kenton County, KY Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

16, last amended by Ord. 9 on July 22, 1997, sets the entire eight-facility park system's public hours as "dawn and dusk," with no fixed clock time written into the code since sunrise and sunset shift through the year. 17, which restricts parking to the designated pavement and bars leaving a vehicle in a park lot "outside normal operating hours of the park without the consent of the county"; a vehicle left past dusk may be towed at the owner's expense. 18 backs up the closure further by limiting motorized vehicles, including ATVs and motorcycles, to travel strictly to and from the parks, with no exceptions unless the County Judge/Executive's office grants written permission to go beyond a gate, cable or other obstruction.

24 requires everyone using the parks to behave in an "orderly and proper manner" so as not to disturb other visitors or nearby residents. None of these sections name a Parks and Recreation gate-closing crew or a dedicated curfew patrol; the dawn-to-dusk rule is enforced the same as any other Chapter 94 violation, through the code's general penalty section.
