Cobb County Code §74-6 closes all county parks from 10 PM to 6 AM (dusk for some smaller parks). After-hours presence is a trespass violation. Lit athletic fields may run until 11 PM with permit.
Cobb County Code of Ordinances Chapter 74 (Parks & Recreation) §74-6 establishes standard park hours of 6 AM to 10 PM. Select smaller passive-use parks close at dusk. Lit athletic facilities at major parks (Al Bishop, Jim Miller, East Cobb Park, Lost Mountain Park, Sweetwater Park) may operate until 11 PM for permitted scheduled use. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (federal) has separate NPS hours — generally dawn to dusk with gates closed. After-hours entry to county parks constitutes criminal trespass (O.C.G.A. §16-7-21) and can trigger both Cobb PD and Cobb Park Rangers. Camping, overnight parking, and after-dusk fishing in county parks all require special permits. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area units in south Cobb (Palisades, Cochran Shoals) follow NPS hours.
After-hours trespass: §74-6 citation $100–$500 plus O.C.G.A. §16-7-21 misdemeanor (up to $1,000 + 12 months). Vandalism: additional criminal charges.
