OC Parks enforces seasonal operating hours at all county regional parks and beaches, generally 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM during spring/summer and 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM in fall/winter. County beaches close at 10:00 PM year-round. Presence after hours is prohibited.
Orange County regional parks and beaches operate under posted hours enforced by OC Parks rangers and the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Most regional parks follow a spring/summer schedule (approximately March through October) with hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and a fall/winter schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. County-operated beaches such as Capistrano Beach and Aliso Beach maintain hours of 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM year-round. Section 2-5-42 of the Orange County Codified Ordinances also prohibits operation of radio-controlled devices including drones in parks and recreational areas. Park visitors must vacate all facilities by posted closing time. OC Parks posts current hours and any closures on their alerts page. Special event permits may allow after-hours access for approved activities.
Presence in county parks or beaches after posted closing hours may result in citations for trespassing. Park rule violations are infractions under the Orange County Codified Ordinances.
