Mosinee, WI Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 58-118 of the Mosinee Code of Ordinances sets the baseline hours for every city park: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Two exceptions carve into that window. First, the recreation center and River Park are allowed to stay open until midnight during times of scheduled events, rather than closing at the standard 10:00 p.m. cutoff. Second, people actively engaged in fishing are allowed in River Park and Chuck's Landing before and after the regular park closing hours, so an angler fishing before dawn or after dark at those two locations is not in violation just for being on park grounds outside the 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. window.

A parallel provision, subsection 58-119(r), restates the same 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. hours and the recreation-center midnight closing and fishing carve-out as part of the article's broader list of specific park regulations, which also covers littering, pets, fires, motorized vehicles and alcohol. Being present in a city park outside permitted hours, without falling into the recreation-center-event or fishing exceptions, is enforced alongside the article's other park rules. Chapter 58 does not set a distinct fine for a park-hours violation, so it falls under the city's general penalty in § 1-13: a forfeiture of $25 to $500 for a first offense and $50 to $1,000 for a repeat offense within 12 months, with jail time possible if the forfeiture and costs go unpaid.
