Mosinee, WI Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Section 78-109 sets Mosinee's weight and size threshold for street parking: any truck, trailer, truck power unit, tractor, semitrailer, bus or combination of vehicles over 10,000 pounds gross weight, over 16 feet long, or with an enclosed area taller than 8 feet from the roadway may not park on a city street, avenue or public way unless the street sits within a business district as defined by Wis. 01. The ban does not stop a qualifying vehicle from stopping to load or unload goods, but only for the time actually needed for that work.

Motor homes and recreational vehicles used solely to carry people, and not lived in, are exempt as long as they are stored under section 42-715's land-use rules. The common council may designate specific truck parking zones at its discretion. School buses and other buses of any size may not park in a residential district, on a street, lawn, alley or driveway, except for the time reasonably needed to load or unload, though buses may park at any Mosinee School District building when required. A vehicle parked in violation may be towed by order of the chief of police, with towing and storage costs added to the section 1-13 forfeiture.
