Pageland, SC Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 24-9 of the Pageland Town Code, in Chapter 24's general parks article, makes it unlawful for anyone to occupy the town's recreation, park and related facilities between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except at approved functions. The section names the facilities the curfew covers without limiting itself to that list: the tennis court facilities, Pigg Park, Moore's Park, the land at the corner of Holly-Lynn and South Arant Streets, the Scout Hut, and Conbraco Park at SC 9 and South Arant.

Chapter 24's Article II, which governs Moore's Park specifically, sets its own hours in two places. Section 24-42 opens Moore's Park to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. unless the town council approves otherwise, and a separate curfew in Section 24-47 bars occupying the recreation facilities between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., again except at approved functions, naming the same list of facilities. Read together, the general Section 24-9 curfew runs until 7:00 a.m. while the Moore's Park-specific Section 24-47 curfew lifts two hours earlier at 5:00 a.m. An 'approved function' under either section requires council or administrator sign-off, the same approval process Section 24-43 sets for reserving Moore's Park for an event, which requires a written application filed at least 30 days ahead, with the administrator's decision given at least ten days before the requested use.

Chapter 24 sets no dedicated fine for the curfew sections, so the Code's general penalty, Section 1-7, applies: up to $500.00, up to 30 days in jail, or both, with each day of a continuing violation a separate offense.
