Pittsburgh, PA Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

No person shall be in any City public park or playground before 6:00 a.m. or after 11:00 p.m. except as provided by the Director of Parks and Recreation. This restriction shall not affect the right of the public to use the pathways and roadways in and through public parks, playgrounds or other public grounds for the purpose of travel.

(b) Closed Areas. Any section or part of any park may be declared closed to the public by the Director at any time and for any interval of time, either temporarily or at regular and stated intervals whether daily or otherwise and either entirely or merely to certain uses, as the Director finds reasonably necessary.

(c) Effect of Permit. A permittee shall be bound by all park rules and regulations and all applicable ordinances fully as though the same were inserted in the permits.

(d) Liability of Permittee. Permittees shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any person or to park property from any cause whatsoever, whether it be negligent or nonnegligent by the persons to whom the permits have been issued.

(e) Revocation. The Director shall have the authority to revoke a permit upon a finding a violation of any rule of ordinance, or upon good cause shown.

(f) Ejectment. The Director and any park attendant shall have the authority to eject from the park any person acting in violation of this Chapter and any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto.
