Ridgewood, NJ Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 212-32, added April 11, 2018 by Ordinance No. 3638, governs the Village's seasonal skate park located adjacent to the Lester Stable at 259 North Maple Avenue. until sunset; it is unsupervised, and users skate at their own risk. Use is limited to skateboards and in-line skates, and a photo-identification membership badge, issued after a hold-harmless waiver signed by the user or a parent or guardian for anyone under 18, must be carried and shown at the facility at all times; a group of 10 or more must first get a no-charge group-use permit from the Parks and Recreation Department.

Protective equipment, including helmets and elbow, wrist and knee pads, is required at all times, and the section bars food, alcohol, tobacco and controlled substances, pets, loud music or profane language, and use during inclement weather or scheduled instructional programs. -to-sunset daily window, the facility is closed, and § 212-32 separately bars loitering within 25 feet of the skate park when it is closed, a distinct offense from unauthorized use of the facility itself. Ridgewood's other parks handle hours differently: Graydon Park's summer season dates and hours, and Citizens Park's public hours, are instead set by Village Manager regulation under § 3-39 of the Administrative Code rather than printed as fixed clock times in Chapter 212 itself.
