Broken Arrow, OK Fence Regulations: Material Restrictions (2026)

Under Tulsa Zoning Code Title 42 §90.090, residential districts (RS, RE, RD, RM) allow wood privacy fences, vinyl, decorative metal (wrought iron, tubular steel), masonry, and chain-link. Chain-link is prohibited in front yards of RS and RE districts within the designated Arts District and Pearl District overlay zones. Barbed wire and razor wire are prohibited in all residential zones per §90.090(D); permitted only in Industrial (IL, IM, IH) and Agricultural (AG) districts with 6-foot minimum height. Electric fences are limited to agricultural and industrial zones.
